The Liberty Lexicon β User Submission & Copyright Policy
1. Eligibility
Submissions are open to law students, academicians, professionals, and individuals interested in legal writing.
By submitting content, the author represents that they are the original creator of the work and hold all intellectual property rights.
2. Copyright & Intellectual Property Rights
Under Section 13 of the Copyright Act, 1957, copyright subsists in original literary works, including articles, blogs, and essays.
The author retains full copyright over their submitted work.
By submitting content to The Liberty Lexicon, the author grants a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to publish, display, store, and distribute the content on the website and related platforms.
The license does not transfer ownership; it only permits publication.
3. Authorβs Responsibility
Under Section 55 of the Copyright Act, 1957, authors are responsible for any infringement or legal claims arising from their submissions.
The Liberty Lexicon is not liable for any false information, defamatory remarks, or infringement contained in a submission.
The author indemnifies The Liberty Lexicon against any legal consequences arising from their work.
4. Prohibited Content
Submissions must not contain:
Plagiarism (as defined under Section 14 & 51 of the Copyright Act, 1957).
Defamatory material (liable under Section 499 of the Indian Penal Code).
Hate speech, obscene content (Section 67 of the IT Act, 2000).
Misrepresentation of facts or fabricated references.
5. Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism violates Section 51 of the Copyright Act, 1957 (infringement of copyright).
Any plagiarized work will be immediately rejected or removed.
Authors found guilty of plagiarism may be permanently barred from future submissions.
6. Editorial Rights
The Liberty Lexicon reserves the right to make minor editorial modifications for formatting, grammar, and clarity.
Substantive changes will be discussed with the author before publication.
Final discretion regarding acceptance and publication rests with the editorial board.
7. Publication & Removal
Submission does not guarantee publication.
Once published, content remains available unless:
(a) The author requests removal by writing to the.liberty.reads@gmail.com, or
(b) The editorial board removes it due to violation of these Terms & Conditions.
8. Word Limits
Articles: 1,500 β 3,000 words
Short Articles: 1,000 β 1,400 words
Blogs: 600 β 1,000 words
9. Liability Disclaimer
Opinions expressed in submissions are solely those of the author.
The Liberty Lexicon does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of the content.
No liability shall arise against The Liberty Lexicon for damages caused by reliance on published content.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India.
Any disputes arising out of submissions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at [Your City/State].
11. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting to The Liberty Lexicon, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in accordance with the Copyright Act, 1957 and related laws.
